Unmodified Peace

 

The word peace is used around the world thousands of times every day, with many different meanings. Ultimately it means an end to war upon this planet and harmony among all the peoples of the world. But as Mars Sector 6 questioned in his wonderful transmission ‘Heaven on Earth’ through our Master on December 9th, 1956: “How can you have peace in the countries of Terra (Earth), unless that peace be born in the hearts of all men?” He stated that: “True peace is a child of wisdom. What is wisdom? What else, dear friends, but love in action.”

The Twelve Blessings makes many references to the word peace, for example in the famous saying which appears after the Third Blessing: “ …  first cometh the Angel, Peace – to make way for the Goddess – LOVE.”  This forms a perfect balance for the earlier quote by Mars Sector 6 illustrating the essential paradox in all great truths. For the Master Jesus says that peace comes before love, while Mars Sector 6 says that it comes after – as its child. In the symmetry of wisdom, both must be true.

The Master Jesus describes peace as a power which flows through us, but he also alludes at the end of the Ninth Blessing to the fact that there is something greater that we can experience. Commenting on this in his lecture on the Ninth Blessing, our Master said: “A peace with understanding. Not some blank thing but a peace born out of understanding. In other words, a dawning of wisdom which is the greatest of all.”

This indicates that there are different levels of peace as we evolve, perhaps determined by the expression of the major psychic centers. As the lower centers are brought under control, so we are able to manifest more fully the potential of our higher centers. As we bring stillness to our bodily functions, our passions and desires, and our basic mental capabilities including certain psychic powers, a level of peace is attained which can lead us to a fuller expression of love through the heart center. When we are able to raise our consciousness even above the heart center, we will experience a much higher level of peace through our highest centers. This could then be described as a child of wisdom, or as love in action.

The highest level of all must be that described by a Lord of Saturn as “unmodified peace”. One of the wonderful things about The Aetherius Society’s teachings is that they are communicated by the Cosmic Masters and our Master in a very simple and accessible manner. It is even more amazing when you realize just how advanced some of these aspects are. In fact, it can be tempting for us to dismiss certain revelations as being too advanced for us to take on board, and yet they would not have been given if we could not apply them in our lives. Unmodified peace has to be something for us to strive towards.

The source of these words is a cosmic transmission we cannot study too often, named, “The One Energy”, delivered on November 23rd, 1957. The full quotation is: “Go within, contact this Light, and extend through space and timelessness to that dimension where dwelleth unmodified peace.” To me, one word in particular jumps off the page: dimension. Not realm, sphere or level, which would indicate a mentality connected to this state, but dimension. One of our Master’s finest lectures, which is available on CD and audio download, is called “The Seven Dimensions of Creation“.  It explains this aspect of metaphysics in a way which transcends the vagueries of multidimensional existence so often expounded upon, elsewhere.

A study of Cosmic Voice issue No. 14 shows that these seven dimensions were first revealed to our Master by a Martian Intelligence on Satellite Number 3, on December 6th, 1957, only thirteen days after “The One Energy” had been delivered. The proximity of these dates strikes me as more than a coincidence. For Mars Sector 6 revealed that at the exact time that the “The One Energy” was delivered, the same Lord of Saturn delivered a transmission to a thousand vehicles in the Milky Way, including Satellite Number 3.

It is possible that the Martian Intelligence took his cue from an even greater Saturnian Intelligence to explain what exactly these dimensions are? His pronouncement was concisely put: “The Divine Will imposes those conditions upon mind which bring its potential into manifestation as directed motion in a time-frame of length, breadth and height.” So, to summarise, the seven dimensions are Divine Will, mind, motion, time, length, breadth and height.

It would not be the only time that another Cosmic Master would refer back to this transmission. The first sentence of “The One Energy” uses the phrase: “All in All, and All in All – THAT.” These exact words are used less than a year later by the Venusian intelligence we call Jesus, in the Twelfth Blessing. Perhaps the Master Jesus was inside one of those thousand vehicles in the galaxy which received a transmission from this Lord, though he would not need to have been, to know that these words had been spoken by such a one.

In his comments, Mars Sector 6 said about “The One Energy’ and the transmission simultaneously received on Satellite Number 3: “Yours can, with some study, be understood by you. Ours can, with some study, be understood by Us.” We emulate the Great Ones by studying our teachings which are, we have been told, the greatest ever delivered to Earth.

When the Lord of Saturn states: “Go within, contact This Light … ” he is referring to the light of the soul. It is not just a metaphor, but something real which can be seen and experienced, even if dimly. As our Master once explained in reference to yoga breathing visualizations, the first time you see a light in what appears to be the third eye, this may in fact, be a reflection of the Solar Plexus center rather than the Christ Centre. But there will come a time when you actually start to see the light from the Christ Centre, which is very different and much brighter than that from the Solar Plexus center.

The Lord continues: “ … and extend through space … ”. One of the hallmarks of a Saturnian Being is its stillness. It has, according to Mars Sector 6 in the Eighth Freedom: “ … a still body, which moves not.” But it can manifest in hundreds of aspects throughout the galaxy.  Its very stillness is its key to unlimited movement.

The Lord continues “and timelessness”. To extend through timelessness would be to enter what Mars Sector 6 described in a transmission given on January 18th, 1958; as “ … the Now”. This concept was used later that year by the Master Jesus in his delivery of The Twelve Blessings when he blesses “ … in the NOW – and by NOW.”  This could suggest that this is not only a state of timelessness to be entered, but also a Divine force by which a blessing can be performed. Our Master explains it as a recognition of both the timelessness of now, as well as the time we recognize on Earth. Commenting on this in his lecture on the First Blessing:

If we are really to study occult things and metaphysical things, we must come to the conclusion that in the Now we are born, in the Now we die. In the Now the Earth is born and in the Now the Earth goes into super nova back into the Sun again. It’s all NOW. One great, all-pervasive time factor in the eyes of the Absolute. ‘In the Now’ means abstract time. All is happening in the Now, but ‘By Now’ means by Now in Earth time.

Time, as we know it, is measured in the motion of planetary bodies through the cosmos. Their trajectory is determined by the energies which course through space at numerous frequencies and which are little understood, even by modern science. Our Master once remarked to me that he believed that one of the great Lords of Karma or Creation could, if they determined, stop this motion in order to make certain adjustments for karmic reasons and then allow it to continue again. A staggering thought indeed!

But unmodified peace would not be subject to the motion of the forces of the cosmos because by definition they bring change. Mind too, is not static – in human consciousness at least – the thought processes themselves cause continual modification. As Mars Sector 6 said: “Now is the time, for it is Now, which is forever – yet the Now, although forever, if by-passed in thought, never comes to those who so walk.” In other words, the very act of thinking prevents us from entering the Now.

So when the Lord completes this sacred aphorism with the words: “ … to that dimension where dwelleth unmodified peace … ”, he must be referring to the seventh dimension of Divine Will. You must by then have entered a state in which, to quote Mars Sector 6 from the Fifth Freedom: “… the consciousness of the individual soars to mighty heights, unlimited, unbounded by mind. High into the realms of Intuition, of Divine Inspiration it goeth. Through Space, where time stands quite still, non-existent, immobile.” This is cosmic consciousness.

Dr King, who entered this state, described it in the following words using the third person to speak of his experience: “He became vitally aware of the dimensions in which he existed and knew them – aye, all seven of them.” This has been described in many ways, especially in yoga writings, where it is sometimes referred to as seedless Samadhi or Nirvana. However, these writings tackle it mainly from a mental and psychic point of view, often with reference to the Kundalini and the Chakras.

In this great aphorism, the Lord of Saturn broadens our horizons exponentially by taking it onto a scientific level. It is no longer just seen as an individual search, achieved by controlling the lower nature and contacting our higher self. It is part of the fabric of cosmic existence – since these dimensions exist throughout the universe governing all life. We are able to transcend the first six of these by contacting the light within us, and when we do, we will enter the seventh and experience unmodified peace.
