Was very interesting to me as well that the subject was Active Pacifism due to the fact that I only 30 minutes prior, I happened across a Catholic News Feed site and was intuitively motivated to click on a video. Which I usually don’t spend much time on but in this case listened to it all. I was just curious as to what the orthodox would be discussing and the crux of the whole discussion was that of Active Pacifism which they were saying was required to confront the current issues going on within the Catholic Church!
Then I scrolled through my E-mail notifications to listen to the Spiritual Freedom Show dealing with the exact same subject. It was like a breath of fresh air at the opposite end of the scale. I realized this message is important for all people to hear regardless of the Spiritual Path they choose to Travel. After all we’re All One!

Thank you Richard and Darren. Much needed in these times. I am both a teacher in the US of what we call “at risk youth” and a veteran of US Army. I run across a lot of mostly young men who see the military as the only way out the desperate life they are leading. Most of them grew up on violent video games and see the military as a way to prove themselves. I don’t encourage or discourage them. I just tell them the truth about them just being cannon fodder for organizations that the have never heard off. Pacifism is a hard sell in general to most people. That being said I encourage them to think deeply and give their thoughts to Peace. Of course with the caveat that I am not espousing any specific religious affiliation. Some will understand and will take it under consideration. If even one has an awakening, I count that as a win. Just me two cents.
Hey Scott, that’s a lot of first-hand insight there from the trenches. Thank you for sharing that. No doubt you are making a bigger difference than you might think to these young people. I agree pacifism is a hard sell – most people equate it to some sort of impractical cowardice, whereas active pacifism – using spiritual energy – is about inspiring a new breed of spiritual warrior focused on getting to the root of our problems here on Earth.
