In true meditation, you experience a deep state of oneness.
You know that all things are part of a vast, interrelated cosmic whole.
Love becomes more than an emotion. It becomes something universal, impersonal and unconditional. Putting this into action is what service to others is really about.
But even if you haven’t experienced this awesome mystical state, any decent person can see that service is the right thing to do. Think about the compassion that motivates you to help others in need. It’s as natural as your right hand working together with your left hand to help your whole being.
The more we demonstrate this love we feel for others, through service, the more we will reinforce this dawning realization of oneness within ourselves.

This was a powerful podcast! I was reminded of the “Purple Flame” which was an invocation for higher service which I discovered online about seven years ago. I was able to access that memory when lovely Elizabeth from Auckland graciously recited the powerful prayer during the show.
It was very comforting and important to be reminded that the kundalini advancement occurs naturally through service and should not be forced. Effortless effort (that was my intake) or almost a childlike wonder of getting involved in Service, contemplating the Service but with Simplicity, makes perfect sense. It’s like providing a tree with adequate light requirements, water and fertilizer and basically leaving it alone rather than hovering (I’ve done this at times) over the plant and willing it to grow. Generally too much work and not a good outcome results. I suppose in simple terms it might be, “Do your best and God will do the rest.”
Thank you for your wonderful podcast, most needed, especially in these crucial times.

Service is work, but it’s an expression of true, unconditional love after all, and like prayer, once you’ve made the necessary effort, there’s a certain magic in detaching from the outcome.
