On January 23rd we celebrated the birthdate of Master of Yoga Dr. George King (1919-1997). With this very special date in mind, this month’s episode of Aetherius Radio Live is a heartfelt tribute to the life and legacy of Dr. King.
Host Chrissie Blaze interviews her husband Gary Blaze about his personal experiences with Dr. King, shining a light on some of the many different facets of a master whose incredible life was inseparable from the wisdom of his teachings.
Gary first met Dr. King when he visited Detroit in 1974, and by 1976 Gary was in Los Angeles where he remained as a close student of Dr. King until his passing in 1997. During that time, Gary played an important part in a variety of projects, including work on the essential radionic equipment used in the world-changing missions of The Aetherius Society.

About Chrissie Blaze
Chrissie Blaze is a regular media guest and co-host of Aetherius Radio Live. She is an international speaker and the author of twelve books, including the bestselling book Power Prayer (co-author, Gary Blaze) and her latest book Earth: Astrology’s Missing Planet – Reconnecting with Her Sacred Power. Chrissie was a student of Dr. King for 25 years. She is also an ordained priest in The Aetherius Churches and a member of the Ecclesiastical Synod.
About Gary Blaze
Gary Blaze first met Dr. King when he visited Detroit in 1974, and by 1976 Gary was in Los Angeles where he remained as a close student of Dr. King until his passing in 1997. In 2008 he returned to the Michigan Branch along with his wife, Chrissie, to help to expand and support the spiritual legacy of their Master. He is an experienced healer, popular healing instructor, an international teacher and practitioner of the spiritual sciences and the deeper Yogas. He also physically studied with Chinese and Tibetan teachers who taught him their approaches to healing, consciousness and energy (qi) work, QiGong, giving him a unique approach in the world of healing and natural therapies.

I have to say that, even though Gary and I have been married for 25 years, in this podcast, he shares experiences with our Master that I had never heard before! Many of us have memories that are very precious but more importantly they help us understand and appreciate our Master even more. I remember once when I was working at the European Headquarters in London, I asked Dr. King for permission to use a Transmission extract in a Commemoration Service I was putting together. He gave the permission and told me to make sure the congregations are aware of the fact that the Cosmic Masters are living, breathing, feeling Intelligences – not remote in any way. The main thing I felt from this interview with Gary was just how he was able to illustrate this tremendously warm and personal side of our Master; the Man. If people listen and want to know more, I highly recommend as the next step, “The King Who Came to Earth”, the excellent Biography of our Master’s life and Mission by Richard Lawrence and Brian Keneipp. We may be drawn to The Aetherius Society; its wonderful Teachings and Missions but once we really focus on the fountainhead; the spiritual power behind and within the Society, our Master, everything in life seems to gain so much more meaning and purpose and joy. I believe He is the precious Key to our spiritual unfoldment and deeper spiritual realization – whether or not we ever met Him.

When I first became interested in the Cosmic Wisdom of The Aetherius Society, I, as have others, proceeded to immerse myself in the Books, Audio Teachings, whatever was available. I also read all the old Newsletters (later became Cosmic Voice) and was amazed at the reports of how the Staff and Members proved to be a tremendous help. Thank-you Gary for those wonderful insights. I can never get enough of the personal stories about time spent with the Master. I was fortunate enough to spend a lot of time with Ray Nielson. Ray often recalled similar stories which I loved to listen to. It definitely helps to gain a greater appreciation of the man as well as the Master.

He was my ‘best man’ at my wedding to a truly wonderful woman, Chrissie! We certainly do miss him, yet at times we can still feel his presence and personality nearby. Dr. King had offered some staff who would not normally have had an opportunity to be a part of the discharge mission team, to be a part of the discharge support team at Lake Powell.
The staff were overjoyed at the spiritual opportunity this represented, and they saved up their respective vacations so that they could take them at the same time and, of course, paid all of their own expenses, both traveling to and from Wahweap, and for hotel accommodations while they were there.
A tradition was the nightly gathering around a campfire. During one of those nights, Dr. King gave a deeply profound dissertation into aspects of karma and the Karmic Law. All listened in rapt attention as Dr. King verbalized his mastery in these words:
“Karma is pressure towards conformity. It is pressure directing you, the mind – and you, the soul – towards you, the Spirit.”
On September 28th, 1972, Phases 8, 9, and 10 of Operation Sunbeam were completed. Phase 11 was completed on October 1st, 1972.

I just wanted to express my heartfelt thanks for putting this podcast together. It is indeed wonderful. To hear experiences shared from close disciples of our Master is priceless and reveals that bit more to the many sides of our master who we are so privileged to follow.

Dear Christie, I just finished listening to your interview with Gary. It was wonderful. Gary made Dr. King sound so real and personal.
I am currently reading LIFE AND TEACHINGS OF THE MASTERS OF THE FAR EAST series by Baird Spalding and the interview tonight substantiates the information in the book. Dedicate your life to this type of work and you will attain higher consciousness. I don’t believe hearing the interview and reading this series now was an accident.

I had read one of the Baird Spaulding books some years ago and did enjoy it very much. I always also liked that in some Hermetic teachings, the Initiate to be must knock on the Temple Door, and was asked ‘why do you desire to enter this Temple?’ Initiate would/should answer. ” I desire to know in order to Serve” Wishing you much success in your journey to the Stars!

I believe that the Master is not remote…even if in a ‘galaxy far far away” taking a line from Star Wars, a movie which he enjoyed!
