17 DAYS OF SPIRITUAL WISDOM

An Anti-War Special

An antiwar special - text

Humanity has been fighting wars for thousands of years.

War has never been the answer to any question on Earth, and it never will be.
Pacifism is good in theory, but unworkable in practice on its own. Surprising as it may sound, simply turning the other cheek is not the answer either.

So what IS the answer?

In this month’s episode of Aetherius Radio Live, host Richard Lawrence invites onto the show Mark Bennett to share the spiritual wisdom of Master of Yoga Dr. George King.

Don’t miss:
– What does it really mean to be a pacifist?
– Is it ever right to kill another person?
– Does war ever give us a license to kill?
– Are wars ever justified?
– Who or what is really responsible for wars on Earth?
– Who was really responsible for resolving the Cuban Missile crisis?

Wonderful and fascinating. Thank you so much you have cleared up so many things in my mind and I was comforted by Mark’s words about feeling the need to be more advanced so one can psychically sense whether an attacker is more needed on earth than oneself, that would be an amazing thing for me to be able to do. I gain so much from these broadcasts, thank you very much.

I agree with you JoJo. Dr King’s explanation, as quoted by Mark, was a brilliant answer to the question he was asked about whether and how much one should defend oneself from an attacker, and so typical of his unique realisation of true, spiritual logic. Your comments are appreciated.

Thank you for this show. For there seems to be A lot of ” Cry Havoc and Let Slip the Dogs of War” going on. As a veteran of the US Army, served 1985 -88 82 Airborne 3/325 ABCT, this is very relevant. I chose to join for a few reasons, Mainly because as a 19 year old man, coming from a chaotic family live, working in a dead end job, I didn’t see much of a future for myself. So I succumb to the “Adventure side of me” . Which came with the added benefit of “serving my country” As did a lot young men I met while in the military. Pretty much the same story. That being said, I was spared the experience of killing anyone. I thank God for that. Even though we were put in some pretty bad situations were that was possible. It sickens me what they have made the US military do since I was in. Nobody really ever wins a war. There are only dead and/or suffering victims of war. Unfortunately pacifism is still mostly seen as cowardice. At least here in the US. We still have a lot work to do in this area. The best hope we have are the surviving combat veterans speaking out about their expediences. I hope more people will listen to to this podcast and have a change heart!!

Thank you Scott for sharing your experiences as a veteran. One can be against war and still admire the outstanding courage and sacrifice demonstrated by those who have fought for their countries, and Dr. King was the first to say this. Your comments, coming from one who has been there and realised the futility of war first hand, should carry a lot of weight with those who have never fought and yet are supporters of certain wars now taking place. Blessings to you.

Close to the end, one hears:
«(…) that´s one thing I love about King Yoga: (…) it´s not even about morality so much even, it is spiritual, but it´s not a phrase that maybe we use as much as people might imagine that we would (…)»

What do you mean by that – exactly?

Morality is at the core of every true Religion and The Aetherius Society Is God´s Church.

    Thank you.

This is an incomplete quote from Mark’s full statement in which I think he made clear what he meant, namely that while King Yoga is about morality, it is more a series of practical steps, we can all take to change the world and our lives for the better. This is far more useful than just giving moral platitudes as some organisations do, which can be confusing and even hypocritical. For example, some churches have encouraged fighting in certain wars as a moral duty, while others from the same churches have taught the exact opposite. Dr. King on the other hand has given us practical methods, practised by hundreds of people, including your good self Leonor, which bring peace to our world.

Thank you very much for the clarification. Congratulations for the wonderful broadcast!
