17 DAYS OF SPIRITUAL WISDOM

#196 – Is It Enough To Raise Your Own Vibration?

Some people say that the best thing you can do to help others is to raise your own vibration – because that vibration will radiate outwards and help to uplift the whole.

It will help to uplift the whole, but is that all we need to do – given the needs of the world in crisis around us?

In this week’s episode we explore the path of direct spiritual action: why devoting your time to helping others is at least as important as going within.

Tune in to discover:

  • The two halves of the formula as given by the Master Jesus in The Twelve Blessings
  • How to give your spiritual practice a purpose
  • What Richard discovered about the essence of the cosmos as a result of his Cosmic Consciousness experience
  • What we can glean from the example of the Mother Earth and the sacrifice She is continually making for our sake

Yes, it’s all about balance. Yin and Yang, in this case, going within and serving. And I agree – when you go within and connect to your true self, you start WANTING to serve. So I actually cannot believe there are ANY people in the world who only go within. It’s like only breathing in. You need to stop at some point and breathe out again.

What I don’t resonate with is the proclaimed urgency. We should do this, we should do that, because if we don’t act NOW, in the proclaimed way, the world is doomed.

In my view, true divine guidance is free of urgency and requirements. It’s more like: This is the divine cosmic plan, it will turn out that way because God has decided it, and our job is merely to align with it (via purifying ourselves, getting rid of attachments, following our passion/purpose etc.). Go with the flow, the Dao. But this is no urgent requirement either: We can align ourselves, voluntarily, which will make our life fulfilling and let us stay grounded through every crisis, or we can refuse to do that, which will make us suffer the more we move away from our soul path, and at some point we have enough of the suffering and voluntarily get back to the path. No urgency in all of this. Just life unfolding for every one of us.

    Anyway, thanks for the show!

Hey Jana, thank you for these thoughtful comments! I loved the breathing analogy. Regarding the urgency, I don’t think I can do better than the Master Aetherius on this point:

“The evolution of mankind is now being speeded up, in order to reach a certain point within a certain time limit. Cooperate with the speeding up, help it, become the beings who speed this up and I promise you a million helpers. If you do, you will never regret any time you have spent in this wonderful way… There is so much for all of you to do, but so little time in which you can do it. Then strike the gong of the present, so that the echoes may be magnified by the future. These are the teachings which we, from the Interplanetary Governmental Systems wish you to take, absorb, believe and act upon.”

At some point, which, were it not for the intervention we have enjoyed to date would have already come and gone, the Mother Earth will raise her vibration and more fully express her tremendous inner light. As you know, this great change has already started… When it is complete, we will literally no longer be able to live here – unless we raise our consciousness and the consciousness of others so that we can live here in harmony with the spiritual vibration of the Mother Earth. Therefore, our time is running out. In fact we are already living on borrowed time – at Her expense, while She suffers in a state She only endures because of Her compassion for us. So in my view it is urgent. I have committed to live my life with this urgency in the spiritual work I do. I have no doubt I have done more good because of it.

Let’s not forget the many beings who do work and even suffer while we choose to take our time. The Ascended Masters, the Mother Earth, etc.

It’s no longer just a question of creating a world we want to live in, or fulfilling our own potential, or even whether we’re willing to change before it’s too late, it’s whether we have the spiritual decency to do it for Her.

        Blessings, Darren

    Addendum to my last comment.

The fact that I cannot imagine people ONLY going within tells me something about myself. Lack of experience and imagination, for example. 😉

And while contemplating “balance” in the bathtub, I got a sign/insight that you may be right regarding the paradigm shift, Richard: The two Nickelodeon TV series “Avatar: The Last Airbender” (2005-2008) and “The Legend of Korra” (2012-2014) popped into my mind. They are fictional, deeply spiritual shows borrowing from many spiritual traditions. Spoiler alert – don’t read on if you plan to watch them without plot knowledge!

There’s the Air Nation, they are like Buddhist monks living their blissful life high up in the mountains in monasteries, away from worldly matters. They can manipulate air. Fate has it that they get extinct, except one individual. Later they get revived in the sense that individuals from other nations that could not manipulate any element suddenly get the ability to manipulate air, which makes them new members of the Air Nation. Since they are a multicultural society now, they cannot go back to the old ways. They decide that they will not withdraw from the world any more but roam the world and serve anyone who needs them, trying to bring peace and balance.

Ha – brilliant – thanks for sharing that! What a wonderful way to deliver the message about this essential balance of going within AND serving others.
