This is a brief guide to the locations of the Charged Mountains. Detailed information is provided in our book The Holy Mountains of the World available from our on-line bookstore.

Any one or number of people contemplating climbing these mountains should first contact the appropriate Aetherius Society center given under Locations on this website.

In this way you will be advised on the best routes to take and also the type of clothing and equipment required.


The British Isles

HOLDSTONE DOWN in North Devonshire

Nearest community: Combe Martin

One of the most frequented Holy Mountains having been Charged by The Master Jesus.

BROWN WILLY in Cornwall
Charged: November 23, 1958
Nearest community: Bodmin

Situated in the middle of England's mysterious and treacherous Bodmin Moor, a pilgrimage here should definitely not be made alone on the first occasion. It was on this mountain that The Lord's Declaration was made.

BEN HOPE in Sutherland, Scotland

Nearest community: Tongue

The most remotely situated charged mountain in the British Isles yet containing some of the most powerful energies.

CREAG-AN-LETH-CHAIN in Strathspey, Scotland

Nearest community: Aviemore

As with Ben Hope, this mountain should only be attempted during the summer months. Shortly after being charged, this mountain became a Retreat of The Great White Brotherhood.

OLD MAN in Cumbria

Nearest community: Coniston

Situated overlooking Conistor Water in the beautiful Lake District, this mountain should only be attempted during the summer months.

PEN-Y-FAN in South Wales

Nearest community: Brecon

Although this mountain is not high in comparison with most of the charged mountains, this part of the British Isles is renowned for some of the most severe snow conditions and therefore great care should be taken before climbing.

CARNEDD LLYWELYN in Gwynedd, North Wales

Nearest community: Bethesda

Carnedd Llywelyn enjoys a mysterious history, especially with regards to the occult. Treacherous heavy mists frequently come down without warning.

KINDERSCOUT in Derbyshire

Nearest community: Hayfield

Kinderscout is the highest peak in the well-known Peak District of Derbyshire, frequented very regularly by Aetherius Society pilgrims.

YES TOR in Devonshire
Charged on February 25, 1959
Nearest community: Oakhampton

Situated on the treacherous Dartmoor, this mountain presents quite a long hike but not a very steep climb. Apart from the marshes and frequent thick fogs that can descend without warning at any time, the only other hazard to note is that the route to this Holy Spot goes through a military firing range. Therefore, before attempting any climb, it is necessary to consult the time table of firing practice posted in public places in Okehampton.

MOUNT BALDY in Southern California

Nearest community: Mount Baldy Village

About 50 miles east of Los Angeles, very regular pilgrimages are made to this Holy Mountain throughout the summer months. The charged spot is at an approximate altitude of 9500 feet; about 100 yd. northwest of Mt. Harwood. Contact THE AMERICAN HEADQUARTERS for details.

MOUNT TALLAC in Northern California

GPS coordinates: N 38º 53’ 52.2” W 120º 5’ 40.2”
Nearest Community: South Lake Tahoe

Situated in the Sierra Nevada mountain range overlooking the beautiful Lake Tahoe, this mountain, charged by The Master Jesus, requires a whole day to climb to the Charged Rock and back again.

MOUNT ADAMS in New Hampshire

Nearest community: Gorham

Mount Adams, situated in the Presidential Range of New Hampshire is one of the most difficult charged mountains to climb, yet contains wonderful Healing powers. Annual pilgrimages are made in July by our Michigan Branch.

CASTLE PEAK in Colorado
Charged on May 2, 1960
Nearest community: Aspen

The highest mountain charged by Space Intelligences through Dr. George King, Castle Peak rises to a majestic 14,259 feet in the heart of the American Rockies. This mountain later became another Retreat of The Great White Brotherhood. To climb this mountain will take 3 days there and back and should only be completed either with an Aetherius Society guide or the services of a local mountain guide.

MOUNT KOSCIUSKO in New South Wales

Nearest community: Kosciusko National Park

Mount Kosciusko is Australia's highest point of land at 7,314 feet, and is situated in the Snowy mountains of New South Wales.

MOUNT RAMSHEAD in New South Wales

GPS coordinates: S 36º 29’ 28.0” E 148º 16’ 31.1”
Nearest community: Thredbo

The peak of Mount Ramshead is only five miles, as the crow flies, from Mount Kosciusko in the Snowy Mountains.

New Zealand

MOUNT WAKEFIELD in the Southern Alps.

Nearest community: "The Hermitage", Mount Cook holiday resort

Annual pilgrimages are made to this Holy Mountain which rises to 6,561 feet. Contact the New Zealand Branch for details.

Switzerland

MOUNT MADRIGERFLUH
Charged on August 13, 1961
Nearest community: Davos

Lying in the Swiss Alps in the eastern sector of Switzerland, Madrigerfluh rises to 8,770 feet amidst some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in the world. However, weather in the Swiss Alps is renowned to be very changeable, even in midsummer, and climbing advice should be obtained before attempting this pilgrimage.

France

The last mountain to be charged by Dr. George King in Operation Starlight, the charged rock overlooks the beautiful Chamonix Valley 8,000 feet below.

Africa

MOUNT KILIMANJARO
Charged: Date unknown
Nearest community: Oloitokitok

Just prior to the last two mountains to be charged in Europe, Saint Goo-Ling, an Ascended Master of high standing in The Great White Brotherhood of Ascended Masters of Earth, informed The Aetherius Society through Dr. George King that he had seen fit to personally charge Mount Kilimanjaro on behalf of Dr. King and The Aetherius Society.

This mountain has subsequently become a Spiritual Retreat of The Great White Brotherhood. Several pilgrimages have been made to Kilimanjaro but always with professional guides.
