The Aetherius Society holds four prayer vigils and one prayer marathon per year during periods of enhanced spiritual activity.
There is one prayer marathon a year which begins on April 18th/19th (depending on your time zone) to coincide with the first seven days of the first Spiritual Push of the year.
The prayer marathon is different from the prayer vigils which have seven specific time slots in that the aim of the marathon is to have at least one person at any given time performing a Twelve Blessings service or reciting mantra with the hands raised somewhere in the world with participants thereby forming a consecutive chain throughout the seven-day period.
The prayer vigils take place as follows:
- For seven days, beginning on January 23rd (Dr. George King was born on January 23rd, 1919).
- Beginning on July 5th/6th (depending on your time zone) to coincide with the first seven days of the second Spiritual Push of the year.
- Beginning on September 3rd/4th (depending on your time zone) to coincide with the first seven days of the third Spiritual Push of the year.
- Beginning on November 4th/5th (depending on your time zone) to coincide with the first seven days of the fourth and last Spiritual Push of the year.
During these four seven-day periods participants are encouraged to either hold a Twelve Blessings service or else recite mantra with the hands raised for 15 minutes at one or more of the following times (local times):
- 7:00 am
- 8:00 am
- 12:00 noon
- 6:00 pm
- 7:00 pm
- 9:00 pm
- 11:00 pm
You can take part in the vigil at home, or any other suitable place, or, at certain of the times listed above on certain days, visit one of our centres to take part there.

Every time you repeat a Prayer, no matter where it is… no matter what kind of a Prayer it is, if you repeat it you should believe it or you should not repeat it. If you believe it, you should put your heart and soul in it. There should be an instant response within you. You should vibrate every chord of your being, throw everything you have into that Prayer, forgetting everything around you for the time that you are saying that Prayer. Train yourself in this way to do this with Prayer and you will do it in everything you do, with all your heart and with all your mind and with all your might!
