European Holy Mountain Pilgrimages

We warmly invite you to join us for a wonderful experience on one or more of these Pilgrimages, during which we will send prayer energy to the world.

On 23rd July, 1958, Dr. George King, a Western Master of Yoga and the Founder of The Aetherius Society, was instructed by a Cosmic Intelligence to climb Holdstone Down, a small mountain located in North Devonshire. It was here that he was contacted by the great Being of Love we call The Master Jesus, who appeared before him in a radiant physical form.

This great Cosmic Avatar sent streams of spiritual power through Dr. King, deep into the mountain itself, making Holdstone Down forever holy. This was the first mountain to be charged in the great Mission called Operation Starlight.

This Mission took Dr. King on a worldwide journey which lasted 3 years and 1 month. During this time, often in gruelling and testing conditions, eighteen other mountains around the world were charged by elevated Ascended and Cosmic Masters with spiritual power and became beacons of light for all humankind. This power can be contacted by anyone who visits these sacred places, and radiated out to the world or to individuals through prayer, mantra and other spiritual practices in unselfish Service.

This year we are arranging the following Pilgrimages, to be enjoyed by Members, Friends and newcomers.

Holdstone Down Operation Prayer Power Pilgrimage - Charging Sessions at the top of the mountain commence at 12 noon. Operation Prayer Power is a Cosmic Mission devised by Dr. King in the early 1970s, in which spiritual power is invoked through prayer and mantra and directed into a specially designed physical container for later release. This Pilgrimage will be followed by a social at a nearby venue.

We are running three official Pilgrimages to Holy Mountains in Britain. The times of Services and other arrangements may vary depending on the location – please enquire for details. These Pilgrimages are part of the Official Commemoration of Operation Starlight which was completed on 23rd August 1961. Very often after a Pilgrimage, there is a social gathering at a local venue which will be announced by the organisers.

rising to a height of 619m, this mountain can be easily climbed by most people in about 1 hour.

is 632m high, this mountain can be climbed by any reasonably healthy person. Allow 21/2 hours for the climb but be prepared for some steep slopes before reaching the summit.

Creag-an-Leth-Chain rises to 1053m and takes about 21/2 hours to climb by reasonably fit pilgrims, the last part is steep & arduous. Ben Macdhui will be climbed the following day and represents a full day’s strenuous walking. These mountains are a long way from any habitation so be prepared for any eventualities, especially changes in weather conditions.

Mountains are potentially dangerous places. We recommend that if you have a long distance to travel, you arrive the day prior to a morning Pilgrimage at suitable local accommodation so as to have a good night’s rest before climbing the Holy Mountain on the following day. We strongly suggest having a good breakfast and drinking plenty of fluids before climbing. Be prepared for changes in the weather – wear mountain boots, bring both warm and waterproof clothing. A hat, sun block, energy bars and water are all basic essentials. You should not attempt a mountain climb which exceeds your level of physical fitness.

IMPORTANT: All pilgrims should inform us in advance of which mountain(s) they plan to climb. Please note that all pilgrims take part in these Pilgrimages at their own risk.

The Holy Mountains of the World Seminar - this year we are also conducting four full-day seminars on Operation Starlight, which will be presented by Mervyn Smith.
