Key Elements to a Prayer Circle
What is Prayer?
Prayer is the universal language of love practiced by all religions. Prayer breaks through barriers created by different belief systems and religions, and is a potent way of sending out love and healing to our world. A prayer technique is a method of transferring energy from point A, the Prayer, to point B, the Focal Point (the person or persons in need).
If you hear about a world crisis such as a famine or a drought in a certain part of the world then you may wish to send out a special prayer to those people stricken by this grief. The prayers should be kept simple, uplifting, healing and inspiring. Prayers should never be used to change people's minds, as this is considered harmful for both the prayer and the focal point of your prayer (For more information listen to Cassette Tapes: The Three Forms of Magic or, The Right Motive, The Right Power ).
The Dynamic Prayer Method

-
Raise your hands, with palms facing outwards.
-
Concentrate on visualizing a white light leaving the center in the palms of your hands and your spiritual heart center (located over the center of your chest breastbone – not over the physical heart).
-
Say your Prayer out loud, with as much feeling and love as you can.
-
Feel the streams of love energy flowing from you to the object of your Prayer.
-
At the end of your Prayer, detach and allow the results of the Prayer to manifest.
The Prayer visualizes the focal point of the prayer (for example, the person in need of healing) being bathed in a scintillating white light; prana or chi as it is often called in the East.
Note: Many people may feel a warmth or tingling in their hands when they start to pray dynamically. This is a good sign and means that spiritual energy is flowing through you out to the world.
This method of prayer utilizes subtle energy centers (known as ‘chakras’ in Eastern philosophy). These energy gates constantly transmit and receive subtle energy and are located around the physical body, within the aura. The aura is a magnetic field that surrounds the physical body.
The heart and palm chakras are shown in the diagram. When we pray we are basically acting as a channel for white light from around us to flow down through our heads, our arms and into the palm and heart centers. We visualize this white light flowing out from our palms and heart centers, out to the focal point. This prayer technique adopts a posture, which avoids the inhibition of energy flow through the chakras.

Visualization
“Imagination is the difference between success and failure in all mystic practices, no matter what school they first came from. Never forget that thoughts are things. Visualization can enhance all spiritual practices, including prayer. When you begin to use visualization, everything is enhanced. You are sending out a request: you are creating a set of conditions in such a way that if it is done strongly enough, those conditions must be brought into being.” Realize Your Inner Potential – Dr. George King.
So when we gather together in prayer or healing, one controls the mind and concentrates on a single focal point, the prana around us forms an intense pool of energy. This energy as it intensifies brings about a change in conditions, which may then allow healing to take place. So, really imagine this white light as brilliant and shining beams of light. Be confident that this energy will change and uplift the vibrations of the people of this world and yourself, according to God's karmic law (Book: Karma and Reincarnation ). You will also see that visualization is used for both the opening and closing practices, and in fact, throughout the whole service.
Use of Mantra
Mantras are sacred sound repetitions and used to enhance the power of the prayers and improve concentration. Please refer to Realize Your Inner Potential for initiation and a more detailed explanation of the use of specific mantras. Mantra can be used at different parts of the Service. As a suggestion, it can be recited for a couple of minutes after the opening practice, after the Twelfth Blessing prayer and before the closing prayer. However, the Twelve Blessings Service can also be conducted effectively without use of mantras.
Absent Healing
“Remember that every man, woman and child on Earth is capable of giving Spiritual Healing.” – Dr. George King, You Too Can Heal.
Giving healing should not be restricted to those representing religious orders. It is the birthright of all human beings. All you need is a deep feeling for those who suffer and faith in your ability. If you would like to explore spiritual healing further then please contact The Aetherius Society.
The Absent Healing method does not require the person or persons in need of healing to be physically present. You and your group can send out healing energy, to any particular person or group of people despite their absence or their distance. Sometimes, the person may be bedridden or live too far to visit.
The same method of prayer as shown above is used where the person praying allows white light to flow out through the palms of their hands and heart centers, but visualizes white light surrounding the person (or even an animal). See in your mind the person charged with white light from head to toe and radiating good health. Do not recognize ill health of any sort during this visualization.
Ask participants of your group to place names of those in need of healing on a list BEFORE the Service commences. The organizer can then read out each name slowly whilst the participants send out white light. If mantra is used, then group members should recite this quietly while names are being read aloud by the Group Leader. Mantra can make the healing session more potent.
